On Monday I had a doctors appointment.  Everything is going great with Kaysleigh.  I found out that next week I have to go in for a 3hr glucose test.  I was borderline on the normal test but since I have a family history of diabetes they have to make sure.  In the 3hr test they draw your blood 4 times.  I'm not looking forward to it.  Hopefully the test turns out normal.

Mommy Moments, Pregnancy must haves

The Life Of Faith

This is my list of pregnancy must haves so far.

1.  Stretch mark lotion-  I've been using palmers.  It seems to be working pretty well so far.

2.  Boppy pillow-  From early on I was pretty uncomfortable sleeping.  My hips would hurt really bad until I started using this pillow.  I got it at babies r us.  It wasn't that expensive either.  I've even seen Eric steal it a few times after I get up in the morning.
3.  Old navy jeans and shorts-  I have pairs from other places but the old navy ones are my favorite.  My shorts from there aren't even maternity.  At the beginning of the summer they had linen shorts with elastic waist band.  I got two pairs and they are definitely my favorite shorts.

4.  Scrunch side shirts-  It isn't so much a problem now but when I first started showing and just looked fat I felt like this style of shirts actually made me look pregnant.  I still like them now too because these shirts look like they actually fit not just huge.

5. Prenatal vitamins- I had to switch to gummy vitamins because the giant horse pills I started out taking would make me feel sick.  I still have to be careful and make sure I eat with them.

6.  Books-  I've read quite a few books.  My least favorite was The girl friends guide to pregnancy.  If you plan on having a natural child birth this is not the right book.  It basically says you are an idiot if you don't get an epidural.  Also the book says pregnant women shouldn't wear sleeveless.  Since I'm pregnant through the middle of summer I'm obviously not listening to that.  My favorite book has been Your pregnancy and birth.  This book was really good and went over a lot of information.

7. The business of being born- It's a great documentary to watch if you are even considering a natural child birth.  Some of it is a little extreme and pretty granola but I still really enjoyed it.

Bonus- It's also really great to have an awesome husband.  He doesn't really get how I'm feeling but he's doing his best to be supportive and I know he's there if I need him.

29 weeks

Sorry I never posted last weekend.  We were pretty busy.  Eric and I went to Hartford, Tn and went camping by the river.  We stayed at the same spot that we had our RV at last summer.  It was a lot of fun even though the weekend was pretty hot and it rained some.  We got to see a lot of friends and also went to a wedding by the river.  The dogs discovered they love mud puddles.  The last night instead of staying in the tent again we decided to drive 45 min to Eric's aunt house.  So we got to shower do some laundry and sleep in the AC which was nice.  It also had been awhile since we visited Nedra.

Five on Friday

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG I found a new link up I wanted to do.  As far as I understand it you just make a list of five things.  I'm going to tell you about things I'm looking forward too.

1. Sleeping in tomorrow-  Last night the boss got beer (lemonade for me) and pizza for everyone after work.  So we wound up staying out pretty late and by that I mean 10 but lately I have been going to bed around 9.  This morning was hard to wake up and I'm looking forward to no alarm clock tomorrow.

2. Superman- I wanted to go see the new superman movie. Then this morning I won tickets on the radio for it in IMax.  I'm really hoping we make time to go this weekend.

3 & 4. Birthdays and Baby showers-  Next weekend I'm going to Kingsport for my little brothers 5th birthday party.  After that is my baby shower and the next day is my friends shower who is due a day before me.

5. Kaysleigh- of course what I'm looking forward to the most is meeting our little princess. It's just a little over 2 months away.

Friday's Letters

Photobucket
Dear Friday, I'm so glad you're here.  I hope you go by really fast so we can start our 4 day weekend at the river.
Dear weather, please dont rain to much this weekend.  We are camping and I dont want it to be miserable.  Also don't get to hot.  Sorry for being so needy
Dear Husband, I love it when you have days off during the week.  You get stuff done at the house like laundry and then I dont have to do it.
Dear Kaysleigh, mommy and daddy love you.  It would be great if you could chill a little on kicking my ribs.

Bored at work even though I have lots to do

27 weeks

I went to Kingsport this weekend for one of my friend's bridal shower.  We surprised her Friday afternoon and went to a pottery painting place.  It was a lot of fun but harder then you would think to be creative.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.

I had a checkup this morning.  My midwife said everything is looking good.  Kaysleigh's heart rate was in the 130s. This morning I had to drink that nasty glucose stuff.  It was the second time I did it.  I did it earlier in my pregnancy because of family history.  Hopefully I don't get a phone call.  No news is good news.
